Results of our work in 2015


Support of lonely elderly people

In the project “Adopt a granny” in Tula region:

  • 364 lonely elderly people monthly received food parcels, received gifts on Christmas and Easter, and at least once a month were visited by social workers or volunteers;
  • among them 148 lonely elderly people participated in festive events;
  • among them 340 lonely elderly people noticed that feel significant moral and practical support.

In the project “Adopt a granny” in North Ossetia:

  • 403 lonely elderly people monthly received food parcels, received gifts on Christmas and Easter, and at least once a month were visited by social workers or volunteers;
  • among them 100 lonely elderly people participated in festive events.

In the project “Feed and comfort” in Tula region:

  • 120 lonely elderly people received twice a week: in January and February — food parcels, from March to June and from August to December — hot meals, received gifts on Christmas and Easter, and at least twice a week were visited by social workers or volunteers;
  • among them 60 lonely elderly people began to receive practical help from volunteers and neighbors which has never received previously;
  • among them 90 lonely elderly people noted that they no longer feel themselves alone and forgotten.

Support of poor families

In the project “Social aid” in North Ossetia:

  • 270 families twice received food parcels;
  • 30 disabled persons twice received food parcels;
  • 47 project participants participated in 4 festive events.

Social adaptation of orphans

In the project “Bridge to the future” in Stavropol region (cumulatively since the start of the project in 2014):

  • 75 pupils of two orphanages received the basics of legal knowledge and information about where and how to get help in emergency situations and in solving social problems;
  • among them 30 pupils of two orphanages received training of life skills that prepare them for independent living.

HIV prevention and care for people with HIV and tuberculosis

In the project “Palliative care for patients with tuberculosis and AIDS” in Orenburg (cumulatively since the start of the project in 2012):

  • 128 patients regularly received qualified care by nurses;
  • 382 patients regularly received material aid (food, medicines and hygiene items);
  • 29 patients’ relatives participated in trainings on care for patients.

Social adaptation of prisoners and support of prisoners’ families

In the project “Aid to prisoners and their families” in Mordovia, North Ossetia, Stavropol region and Penza region:

  • 15054 prisoners participated in activities on spiritual and moral topics and/or received consultations on the issues of social adaptation after release;
  • 7555 prisoners participated in Christmas and Easter festive events;
  • 3224 prisoners received material aid;
  • 46 families of prisoners regularly received material aid and moral support;
  • 562 children from families of prisoners received Christmas gifts;
  • 110 members of prisoners’ families participated in festive events;
  • 89 ex-prisoners passed social adaptation;
  • 44 ex-prisoners received help in finding job.

In the project “Prison ministry” in Saratov region:

  • 2600 prisoners participated in activities on spiritual and moral topics and/or received consultations on the issues of social adaptation after release;
  • 1000 prisoners participated in Christmas and Easter festive events;
  • 900 prisoners received material aid.

In the project “Halfway home” in Stavropol region:

  • 14 ex-prisoners took a course of social adaptation;
  • among them 10 ex-prisoners fully resolved their legal issues (personal documents, permanent registration, health insurance);
  • among them 4 ex-prisoners successfully completed their socialization (have housing, job, fully resolved legal issues).

Aid in emergency situations

In the project “Aid to victims of fires” in Zabaykalsky region:

  • up to 1000 residents of districts of Zabaykalsky region, victims of forest fires in the spring and summer of 2015, received necessary medicines for treatment of burns and other medical supplies through medical institutions in the region.
